In 2001, Andrew Patten and Andrew Buchanan opened the doors of Urbane restaurant, a small 35-seater bistro. With the aim of serving great food and wine in a comfortable and elegant location, Urbane quickly built an enviable reputation for quality, creativity and absolute attention to detail.
Urbane made a name for itself by pushing boundaries with new and exciting produce and flavour combinations, and often challenging the mindset and dining experience for many Brisbanites. Urbane soon became one of Brisbane’s, if not Australia’s, landmark restaurants.
In June 2009 Urbane closed its doors to undertake an extensive multi-million dollar renovation. Reopening six months later, doubled in size and with its own private dining room downstairs, diners were also introduced to its two younger siblings, The Euro and The Laneway.
Whether it is a casual drink, leisurely lunch or unique fine dining experience, we aim to provide food and wine to tantalise the palate in a welcoming atmosphere that will leave you wanting more.
